Directions to Appalachian South Folk Life Center
From I–77 take exit 14. Follow the signs for
Pipestem Resort State Park. After approximately 2.5
miles that road will end. Again follow the signs for
Pipestem— making a left onto Route 20 north. Go
approximately 10 miles on Rt. 20N. The entrance for
Pipestem State Park on your left. Stay on 20N and
take the next road to the right. The name is Indian
Ridge Road. There is a sign at that road for the Oak
Supper Club and a restaurant named Brandon’s. Go
approximately 1/2 mile on Indian Ridge Road. You
will go past the sign for Brandon’s. Then there is a
road to the left named Rocky Mount Road. Go left on
Rocky Mount Road for approximately .8 miles. Then
look for a sign on the right for the cutoff to the Appalachian
South Folklife Center.
If you are coming from the North, take the Hinton
exit off of I–64, and take 20 S to Indian Ridge Road.
So plan on being there!
